Pip's Corner in Lynton is a great choice if you are wanting coastal and country walks and a village location. There is also abundant wildlife on Exmoor, including wild goats in the nearby Valley of the Rocks, and red deer, buzzards and other wildlife in the surrounding countryside. There is a good-sized lounge on the ground floor at the front of the house which offers comfortable seating surrounding the open fireplace. The large well-equipped kitchen has all that you will need for dining in and a country pine dining suite provides a great setting for memorable meals with family or friends. At the rear, a summer room has comfortable seating and is ideal for quiet relaxation. A newly fitted ground floor shower room and utility area completes the ground floor accommodation. On the first floor, there are three attractive bedrooms with a family bathroom. A spacious bedroom at the front of the property has a King size bed, vanity unit and offers distant sea glimpses. A further good sized double room is at the rear and offers country views and a twin-bedded room completes the sleeping accommodation. A small fully enclosed rear courtyard is ideal for relaxing after a day out exploring this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pip's Corner will welcome one small or medium-sized dog for a supplement of £40 (strictly one dog maximum) and on the following conditions; your dog is not allowed upstairs or on any furniture, your dog is not to be left unattended within the property at any time and all mess to be cleared up and removed from the garden. Please also bring your dog's bed with you. Pip's Corner is strictly non-smoking.

And on the first floor: Bedroom 1 with King-sized bed and vanity unit. Bedroom 2 has a double bed. Bedroom 3 has twin beds. There is an enclosed garden to the front of the property with bench plus a private courtyard to the rear of the property, with outside table and chairs, which is available for guests' sole use. It's an easy walk to the village amenities from the front door. Breath taking coastal and country walks are easily accessible from the village, with abundant wildlife including wild goats in the Valley of the Rocks, and red deer in the surrounding countryside. The historic funicular cliff railway connects Lynton and its twin village of Lynmouth with its delightful harbour, gardens, shingle and rock beaches. A first-class location for walking, fishing, birdwatching or riding in surrounding National Trust and Exmoor countryside.

The region
+ MoreLynton has a variety of amenities all within a few minutes' walk. There is a range of cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from, there are two mini-supermarkets, post office, chemist and an excellent Tourist Information Centre. There is also a small cinema, and tennis and bowls ...facilities. The twin village of Lynmouth sits on the harbour below at the bottom of the hill, and also has a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. Lynmouth can be accessed via road, footpath or the famous funicular railway. The larger towns of Minehead, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple are all approximately 20 miles away, here you will find the larger supermarkets, high street banks, etc. Lynton and Lynmouth are very special places to visit, the spectacular coastline and deeply cut river valleys in this unique area provide wonderful opportunities for walking; the South West Coast Path and the Two Moors Way are two examples. The famous Watersmeet is not far away, a beautiful National Trust tea garden and shop situated at the meeting of the East Lyn River and Hoar Oak Water. If this isn't enough, sandy beaches can be found within a delightful scenic drive. Many famous beauty spots are within a short drive, including Heddon Valley, Watersmeet and the Doone Valley. The rock, shingle and sand beaches at Lynmouth and Lee Bay are close by whilst the Golden Coast beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde are within 30 to 40 minutes’ drive. Whatever you are looking for in a holiday cottage Pip’s Corner offers good quality and an ideal location and you are sure to return with family and friends.
Lynton and Lynmouth have great eateries offering good quality and where possible locally sourced produce. Blue Ball Inn Countisbury 14th Century, traditional Inn, dog friendly real ale and excellent food all year round, now has pizzeria in the garden booking advised 01598 741263. The Oak room Lynton offers tapas and spanish cuisine. The Cottage Inn, Lynbridge specialises in Thai food which is authentic. The Crown Hotel provides good inexpensive food, plus takeaway pizzas cooked for you on request. Rising Sun or Ancient Mariner Lynmouth offer lovely candlelit dining overlooking the harbour. Tearooms for traditional cream tea: Lee Abbey tea garden (open seasonal). Lynmouth Pavillion overlooking the sea. Mother Medrums within Valley of Rocks is a must. Watersmeet after a walk or you can park with short walk down is a National Trust garden offering good cream tea/cakes. Small interesting cafes: Charlie Fridays within Lynton great little find, Vanilla Pod or Old Coach House . Takeaways: Fish and Chips Lynton is very good or Esplanade in Lynmouth.

Beaches (under 5 miles) - Lee Bay (rocky but sandy at low tide, great for families and rock pooling. Easy car parking and seasonal tea garden). - Lynmouth (great for surfing and Rock pooling, putting and tennis courts by the beach). Beaches (under 20 miles) - Croyde, Saunton, Woolacombe, Putsborough, Westward Ho (all long, sandy beaches, amazing for surfing. All great for a sunny day out). Walks - South West Coast path - Valley of Rocks - Watersmeet The village is a great starting point for numerous national trust, Exmoor National Park walks. All accessible from the door.
