What we store

• Your saved stays. When you tap the heart on a house, we remember it in your browser's local storage so the list is there next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clear it at any time from Saved stays.
• Your booking in progress. While you book, the house, dates and party you have chosen are kept in the browser for up to 24 hours, so a page refresh doesn't lose them. After you book, the browser also keeps a key that lets it open your booking again.
• Spam checks on our forms. When you use the contact or question form, Google's “I'm not a robot” check may set a security cookie to tell people from bots.
• Maps. Our maps come from Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may set or read its own cookies to keep the service secure and working. Google's cookie policy explains them.
• Card payments. On the payment page, Stripe, which processes our card payments, sets cookies (such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) to spot and prevent fraud. They are only set when you reach that page. Stripe's cookie information explains them.
• Your cookie choice. If we ask about optional cookies, your answer is kept in the browser for six months so we don't ask on every page.
• Payment recovery. We keep a payment attempt reference and its amount in this browser until the booking records the payment or the provider confirms it failed. This helps prevent a second payment after a lost connection. This record contains no card details. Your bank’s security check may use cookies of its own.

These are needed for the site, its maps and its payments to work, so they don't need your consent.

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies at the moment. If that changes, it will ask for your consent first, and this page will list them.
