Situated in the heart of Porlock Weir, Harbour House Studio has been converted into modern self-catering holiday accommodation:

Due to its harbour-side location this property is unsuitable for children under 11.

Due to the size of the studio, 2 small to medium sized dogs or a 1 large dog is okay. 
Please feel free to contact us with the number and size/breed of your dogs if you are unsure if this property/space would suit you. 

Please bring your own throws, dog bedding, bowls, food, towels, wipes etc.  Please follow our dog house rules, cleanliness after walks, bring your own dog beds/blankets/towels etc and keep them off the furniture/bed/bedding/throws please.  We have an outside tap to hose them off if necessary.

The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival.  Please depart by 10am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.

Entrance to the property leads into a small lobby area, with the main living area through to the right. 

There are two single beds at the far end, a bistro table with 2 chairs and a 2 seater sofa.

The small kitchenette is equipped with an under-counter fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave-grill, toaster, sandwich maker, kettle and electric hob.  Itss ideal for those who want to make their own breakfast or brunch and prefer to eat their main meals  out and about.  

The shower room is off the entrance lobby, comprising walk-in electric shower, toilet and hand basin.

A new Smart television (connected to wifi) is set up and ready for you to watch Freeview or log into your own Neflix, Youtube or other App accounts (use and viewing is from your own account/s and at your own pay-per-view cost/s).  Good wireless broadband is available throughout the property.

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. 

Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you away from the property. 

A small selection of tea, coffee and sugar are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive.  There are non-perishable items like a salt and pepper.

Some cleaning materials such as a washing up liquid, spray surface cleaner, a broom/dustpan/brush/mop etc will be available and toilet rolls are provided for your stay.  Other cleaning products are available on request.

If you want to stay local, Harbour House Coffee Shop is next door serving local D J Miles coffee and teas with a wide selection of breakfast, brunch light bites and quality cakes and our popular cream tea. 

The Bottom Ship Pub serves great food and is open for lunch and dinner (no food on Mondays).  5 Star meals  to suit every palette is bookable at the Porlock Weir Hotel and their Terrace Bar for freshly made pizzas.

The harbour is literally on your doorstep!  Walk just a few steps over the little bridge to the stunning cottages on Turkey Island and pebble beach next to the harbour.

We recommend eating at The Porlock Weir Hotel (dog friendly), food and service are very good, afternoon teas and Sunday lunch is amazing, they also have an outside bar and pizzeria and its generally a lovely place to visit and watch harbour life pass by.  We also recommend The (bottom or top) Ship Pub (also dog friendly) just a few minutes walk away, often lively with outdoor seating and sun umbrellas.  We've never been disappointed with Ziangs Thai Takeaway which is just behind our building and delicious ice-creams from Harbour Stores tempt as they are next door.  Porlock Village is only 1.5 miles away and has pubs, hotels, restaurants, cafes and tearooms.
Harbour watch from your window or the many viewpoints outside, walk over the bridge to explore the 'Island' with its stunning cottages or set up on the pebble beach for a paddle, picnic or swim.  If you're active or have children you won't run out of fun things to do, walking, hiking, cycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, beachcombing, crabbing (buckets and lines for sale at Harbour Stores next door) and sightseeing. Check out Exmoor Adventures for local activities and seasonal opening hours.
The South West Coast Path is close by as are many other great walks, Culbone Church, said to be the smallest parish church in England is a popular walk and
from the harbour you can see Hurlstone Point in the distance, another popular walk which is around Porlock Bay.  

Porlock Weir is blessed with amazing sea views from many accessible vantage points along its pretty pebble shores.
