Set in the foothills of the Brendon Hills on the southern slope of Croydon Hill, Luxborough enjoys a peaceful and beautiful setting. Luxborough is a small village that is divided into the hamlets of Churchtown, Kingsbridge and Pooltown, which all lie within a mile of each other. In years gone by people came to the Luxborough area to mine iron ore and it was sent via the West Somerset Mineral Railway to Watchet on the coastline.
