The Wool Barn is situated within the heart of the Exmoor National Park. It sleeps up to 8/10 guests in four bedrooms & sofa bed in snug room. The property is warm and comfortable and ideally located for exploring the hills and moorlands, the pretty villages and the rugged coast of north Devon.
The Wool Barn has been recently converted, from a shearing barn used on the Estate many years ago, to warm comfortable living space for you to enjoy a holiday exploring Exmoor National Park. It is surrounded by open moorland, historic treasures to seek out, pretty Exmoor villages and is only about an hour's car journey to the surfing beaches of north Devon. The house has 4 en-suite bedrooms - 2 with king size beds and 2 twin bedded rooms. All linen and towels are provided for your stay. The new kitchen is well equipped and there is a large dining table which leads through to the sitting room which has plenty of seating and a wood burning stove to give that cosy feel. There is a downstairs cloakroom and a study/quiet room with adjoining shower room. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge freezer. Throughout the house you will see family and local pictures, a good selection of books and some interesting sculptures. Upstairs sleeps 8 guests plus a cot with 4 bedrooms - 2 king size and 2 twin rooms. All en-suite. We provide freshly laundered linen, towels, tea towels, washing up liquid, loo rolls etc. Central heating, electricity, etc is all included in the tariff. From the house you have direct access to the Estate with wonderful moorland walks - maybe to find Wheal Eliza the old Exmoor tin mine, a visit to Wimbleball Lake, the Doone Valley, Tarr Steps, The Lynton/Lynmouth Cliff Railway or perhaps a ride on the West Somerset Steam railway. Well behaved dogs are welcome. We do ask that they remain downstairs, do not jump on the furniture and are on a lead when walking on the farm near stock. Stabling is availably by arrangement, plus a groom (extra) if required. £20 per horse per night.
