South Sandpark Cottage offers peace and tranquillity in quiet corner of North Devon. The cottage can sleep up to 4 guests in two-bedrooms (plus cot) and is well suited for guests looking for a relaxing rural retreat with beautiful countryside spanning as far as the eye can see! The owners' geese, ducks and hens are free-range around the pretty garden. This is a superb location for an 'escape to the country' or for exploring this beautiful part of the country. The front door opens into the kitchen, equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a variety of cookware, crockery, and utensils. Adjacent to the kitchen is the sitting area with a comfortable sofa and an electric fire, providing a relaxing space to unwind. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area leads into a cosy sitting room, furnished with two sofas, an armchair, TV, and a second electric 'log' fire, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The exposed beams add character to this traditional cottage. Upstairs, the cottage has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and views over the garden, and the other with twin beds, making it ideal for both couples and families. The bathroom comprises a bath with a handheld shower head attachment (due to the low ceiling), plus a toilet and wash basin. Heating and electricity are included in the price of your stay. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience, and free WiFi is available throughout the cottage.

There is a large patio/courtyard with picnic table and bench directly beside the cottage (not enclosed), and this area is for guests' sole use. The wider gardens at the property are also available for guests to use and are shared with the owners who live next door. You may find free-range ducks and chickens in the gardens, so please ensure your dogs are under your control at all times. There is also an allocated, fully enclosed dog walking field on-site.

There are some great local pubs within a short drive from the property - The Pyne Arms at East Down, The Fox and Goose at Parracombe and The Black Venus at Challacombe. Further afield, there are fantastic Exmoor pubs and also good pubs and restaurants at the coastal resorts of Lynton, Croyde, Woolacombe, Saunton and Ilfracombe. The owners will provide details on request.
The fantastic beaches of Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay are within easy reach. The pretty twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth with their cliff railway is 20 minutes away. The Exmoor National Park is on your doorstep with stunning coastal and moorland walks. For children, there is Exmoor Zoo, the Exmoor Steam Railway and the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park all a short drive from the cottage. The owners can give recommendations of other activities in the area on request.
You are spoilt for choice in North Devon for walks and beaches. Miles of sandy beaches at Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde which are all popular with surfers. The South West coast path provides stunning cliff and coastal scenery with great places to stop off for refreshment along the way. The Exmoor National Park has a network of walks and trails which will keep you going for the whole of your stay.
