The region
+ MoreBarbrook is a small, peaceful village nestled in a wooded valley just south of Lynton, on the edge of Exmoor National Park in North Devon. Set beside the West Lyn River, it offers a tranquil gateway to the moor’s uplands, the valley's lowlands, and woodland walks. Once home to ...a village shop and post office, Barbrook today retains its rural charm with a handful of cottages, a petrol station with a conveninence shop, and easy access to the A39. The area has a rich history, notably marked by the 1952 Lynmouth Flood, which reshaped parts of the valley. Surrounded by steep hillsides and scenic footpaths, Barbrook makes an ideal base for walkers, nature lovers, and those seeking quiet countryside stays just a few minutes from the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth.
